What We Believe

God

We believe there is but one living and true God, everlasting; of infinite power, wisdom and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in the unity of this Godhead there are three persons of one substance, of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power and dignity: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

(Mark 12:29; Isaiah 45:22; John 15:26; Matthew 28:19; Revelation 4:11; John 1:3; Hebrews 1:1-3; Deuteronomy 32:4)

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and that He lived a sinless life that He might reveal God. We believe He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitution sacrifice for our sins, and that our redemption is made sure to us by His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead. We further believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is now in Heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, where as the High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord, Savior, Sanctifier, Baptizer, Deliverer, Great Physician and King.

(John 1:1-2; Hebrews 4:14-16; Colossians 1:15, 19; 2:9, Luke 2:11; John 1:14; Philippians 2:6-8; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 3:24-25;        I Peter 1:3-5; Acts 10:38; Luke 3:16; 7:33; 4:18-19; Philippians 2:9-11; Acts 1:5; 2:4; Revelation 19:16)

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and serves as a comforter, grants wisdom and imparts gifts as proclaimed in Galatians 5:22-24.

(Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44; Acts 10:45-56; Acts 19:2-6; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:42, 43; I Corinthians 12, 13, 14)

The Church

We believe that the Holy Spirit unites all true believers into the Church, which is Christ’s body, and that as members of His body, they are to manifest love for each other, and to represent Him and spread His Gospel throughout the world. We further believe that, as thus being members one of another, we are responsible to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace, loving one another fervently with a true heart.

(Ephesians 2:18-22; Colossians 1:17-24; I Corinthians 12:12-18; Mark 16:15; Ephesians 4:25; Ephesians 4:3; I Peter 1:22)

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament in their entirety to be the infallible Word of God, given by inspiration of God, in the sense that the Holy Ghost gave the very words of the sacred writing to the holy men of old, and that His Divine inspiration extends fully to all parts of these writings, historical, poetical, doctrinal and prophetic. We further believe that the Scriptures, from first to last, center about our Lord Jesus Christ, His person and work, His first and second coming; and therefore, every portion of both the Old and New Testament was ordained of God for our instruction. We fully accept the Scriptures as being free of error in the original writings, and the only infallible rule of faith and life.

(I Thessalonians 2:13; I Corinthians 2:13; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21; Luke 24:27; Psalms 119:105)

Salvation

We believe that salvation from sin is a free gift offered by God through His grace and received by personal repentance from sin and by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins, and that no repentance or penance, no resolution or sincere effort, no membership in or submission to any church or its rules or regulations can in the very least add to the value of that precious blood or the merit of the redemptive work wrought on Calvary. We further believe that it is the privilege of all who are born again by the Spirit through faith in Christ, to be assured of their salvation at the time of their conversion, and that this confidence is based wholly upon the testimony of God in His written Word.

(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18-23; I John 5:10-13; Romans 8:1; Romans 8:38-39; Romans 10:9-10)

Baptism

All who unite with the faith in Christ shall further confess Christ by receiving a full immersion water baptism as early as possible. Baptism shall be administered according to the divine command of our blessed Lord, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Spirit)”.

(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)

Communion

The Supper of the Lord is a sacrament of our redemption by Christ’s death. It points to Calvary, and to the return of Jesus, whose blood cleanses us from all sin and prepares us for His blessed coming again (Matthew 26:17-30; I Corinthians 11:23-30). The bread and the juice should be administered to all Christians.  The Lord’s Table should be open to all who love Him, and all of the Lord’s children should be invited to His table to commemorate together the death of our Lord. This shall be administered every Sunday of the month. (I Corinthians 11:23-30)

Christ’s Return

We believe in the imminent return known as the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(I Thessalonians 15-18; Titus 2:13; II Peter 3:1-4; Matthew 24: 29-44)
